NEW Study From Work launch: Flexible online qualifications for professionals

Posted on 24/11/2021 by

Study From Work offers professionals flexible online qualifications.

Today we are announcing our launch of our brand new self-directed learning platform and industry led qualifications with Study From Work!

These qualifications are not focused on just travel and tourism, but on professional skills and knowledge that can offer benefits for any career or business wanting to upskill their team.

Here’s a little more about this exciting new development.

What is Study From Work?

Study From Work provides NZQA-accredited personal development qualifications for professionals looking to develop their skills and knowledge, and ultimately further their careers.

These qualifications come in the form of ‘micro credentials’, which are smaller, focused qualifications that target skills development.

For example, the first credential available through Study From Work is a ‘Human Resources People and Culture’ micro credential, which offers 15 NZQA credits at level 5 (which is diploma level). In the course, you will learn about the legislation and regulations relevant in New Zealand workplaces, the main functions of human resources, demographics and social change, and much more.

These courses are available online for any professionals to take in their own time, from the comfort of their own home or in the workplace. The courses are comprised of a combination of video lessons, exercises, tests, and activities, making learning interesting and interactive, rather than a basic read-and-answer format.

The HR, People and Culture micro credential is available now, and there will be more micro credentials available soon.

Responding to industry needs

Over the years, ITC has offered workplace training. Many of these have been successful, and each one has been met with genuine enthusiasm from New Zealand workplaces.

That’s because the demand for flexible, online study for New Zealand employees is huge.

Randstad’s 2021 Employer Brand Research found that ‘good training’ is one of the top five attributes that attract them into a job, which means that workplace training programmes can help to attract and retain staff for employers. Additionally, one in four Kiwis said they were planning to upskill for post-covid employment, which means that plenty of professionals are also looking for their own opportunities to upskill.

Especially now, learning online and upskilling for career advancement is more relevant, achievable, and useful than ever – and we already have the systems and support in place to make that happen for professionals all over the country.

These credentials have been selected specifically to fill the needs of workplaces, but also to be able to apply to a vast range of careers and roles, ensuring that any professional can benefit from learning online.

This personal development will no doubt help staff retention, give value to employees, help quickly upskill staff and give opportunity for growth in the company.

ITC has long been a leader in the online qualification space for students, and now Study From Work will offer the same fantastic online portal and support services, but with a focus on providing level 5 qualifications to anyone already in the workplace.
